Plant Boss meatless crumbles are so easy to use! Here are some general guidelines — check individual package directions since soaking times vary slightly for a few items.


  • 1 package Plant Boss Meatless Crumbles — any variety you want!


    Prepare Plant Boss meatless crumbles for cooking by soaking in cool water for 2–3 minutes


    Cook Plant Boss meatless crumbles in a skillet on medium heat:

    • add meatless crumbles to pan when oil becomes thin and easily coats pan when swirled
    • crumbles are usually ready after simmering for 17–20 minutes
    • be sure all water in the pan has been fully absorbed — simmer a bit longer if needed to absorb any remaining water, but don’t continue cooking past that point


    Store leftover Plant Boss meatless crumbles:

    • up to five days in an airtight container in the refrigerator
    • up to six months in an airtight container in the freezer


    Re-heat Plant Boss meatless crumbles:

    • in a skillet (5–7 minutes) or microwave (2 minutes)
    • if frozen, thaw completely before re-heating in pan or microwave


    Substitute Plant Boss meatless crumbles in a dish:

    For soups & stews:

    • increase cooking liquid in recipe — 2/3 cup additional liquid per 1 cup of meatless crumbles to be added
    • add cooking liquid and meatless crumbles to pot; simmer for at least 10 minutes

    For casseroles & baked dishes:

    • soak 1 cup of meatless crumbles in 2/3 cup hot water for 5 minutes
    • add crumbles and any remaining water to dish prior to baking
